Coulter Tweets: GOP Needs to Stop Hiring Speech Coaches

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter has never held back on her critique of Republicans, and she didn't stop last night in her reaction to Rep. Cathy McMorris-Rodgers' GOP response to President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address.

"Republicans have got to stop hiring speech coaches. Just stop it," Coulter wrote on Twitter.



She then asked why State of the Union responses must be given live.

"Why can't the GOP pre-tape its responses?" she said. "We know what Obama's going to say in SOTU."




After responding to and retweeting several comments regarding the McMorris-Rodgers response, she asked why a lawmaker must give the response and suggested that the GOP opt for fellow conservative commentator and author Mark Steyn.

"I think @MarkSteynOnline should deliver the GOP rebuttal next time," she said. "Why does it have to be a member of congress?"
