Kayleigh McEnany, President Donald Trump's newly-appointed press secretary, once said coronavirus would not make its way to the United States, according to a report by the HuffPost.

McEnany responded to the liberal HuffPost, tweeting that she was referring to the travel ban Trump has put in place.

McEnany’s claims were not much different than what Dr. Anthony Fauci, on the White House coronavirus task force, was telling the public.

In a January interview with Newsmax, Fauci said the coronavirus "is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about."
