Rep. Collins: Biden Won't Be Held Accountable on Son's Dealings

Democrat nominee Joe Biden evaded questions about his son Hunter's dealings in China and Ukraine but the mainstream media will not hold him to the same level of accountability that it tries to use with President Donald Trump or members of his family, Rep. Doug Collins said Friday.

"He said he had never taken any money from foreign governments," the Georgia Republican told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo. "Maybe if you count your son as an agent of a foreign government, maybe that's how you got the money and you can get away with it."

However, Biden is running for president while having issues with foreign governments, and with his own family, said Collins, adding that people are seeing "through the Biden corruption."

Republicans will continue to push for answers, he added.

"The people deserve to know the answers to how Hunter Biden, who had no experience, no background, was able to make this amount of money and how he did arrange meetings with his father. He did do these things. These were all denied. We're seeing they're coming to light and are true."

But once one thinks about how Biden and President Barack Obama "basically bent over for anything that China wanted," then it can be seen why Trump was elected.

"When we were talking about last year, the quid pro quo, we've seen this lived out," said Collins. "We have to continue to focus on this because the people need to know who they might be trying to elect president."

Meanwhile, Collins is running in a special election in an attempt to unseat GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler in Georgia, and he said he feels "really good" about his chances.

"Right now our internal polls show us up," said Collins. "We're moving forward. We have big crowds. People are responding. We're 11 days away from what will be a special runoff and then we'll be in the Senate. We're looking forward to it. It's been a great tour so far."
