Virginia voters would choose Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for president if the vote were held today, by a margin of 12 points over her Republican rival, Donald Trump.
The results, according to the Wason Center:
- Clinton: 45 percent;
- Trump: 33 percent;
- Gary Johnson: 8 percent;
- Evan McMullin: 3 percent;
- Undecided/No one: 7 percent.
Trump has narrowed Clinton's lead in the state; in the poll one week prior to this one, Clinton was up 15 points.
Clinton's vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine is a senator from the state. In September, retired Virginia senator John Warner, a prominent Republican, said he supported her, The Washington Post reported.
