Already leading in national polls after taking advantage of recent perceived gaffes by her rival Donald Trump, Democrat Hillary Clinton now plans to target the real estate mogul's business record, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Clinton plans to upstage the presumptive Republican nominee's release of more details of his economic proposals by casting him as self-interested and deceptive in his business dealings, her advisers say.

Trump has touted as one of his strengths his record as a businessman and as one who knows how to make beneficial deals with a wide range of personalities around the world, as compared with Clinton, who he says is clueless about these matters.

This is seen as a vitally important asset due to his lack of political experience in public service.

This is exactly the support for Trump that Clinton is attempting to shatter by showing that his career has been concerned about enriching himself by exploiting others. One example is Trump University, which is currently battling lawsuits accusing the enterprise of swindling students

Clinton's advisers tell The Wall Street Journal that the economic argument will be an important three-pronged component of her general attack against Trump during the campaign. The other two pillars are his inexperience in foreign policy and the need for a president who unites
