Schumer on Trump's Asia Trip: Acted Like China's 'Lap Dog'

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer on Sunday declared President Donald Trump’s Asia trip a “flop,” accusing him of acting “like a lap dog” to China.

The dismissive tweet also called Trump’s tenure so far a “presidency by misadventure.”

The rebuke follows Trump’s assertions in Beijing last week that he blames past administrations for unfair trade practices.

"I don't blame China," he said. "After all, who can blame a country for being able to take advantage of another country for benefit if their citizens? I give China great credit."
