Faith and Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed says Christians are fully justified for electing President Donald Trump and should be applauded for doing so.
“I believe that they have been totally vindicated for backing Donald Trump,” Reed said Wednesday during an appearance on Newsmax TV’s “Greg Kelly Reports” when asked what he thought about criticism of the president, particularly concerning his three marriages, decadent lifestyle and flash.
“While he may be an imperfect vehicle, and while he may not have led a perfect life, the reality is, the gospel teaches, and the bible teaches that we all are flawed. We are all sinners saved by grace.
"We all fall short of the mark," Reed continued, "but on the core issues that beat in the heart and give meaning to the souls of tens of millions of Americans of faith, the sanctity of life, their first amendment right to freedom of speech and religion, their need for religious freedom not only in the United States but around the world, the importance of strengthening and upholding the traditional family, appointing conservative justices who will respect and honor the constitution and the bill of rights, and defending the state of Israel .. on those issues Donald Trump has not only kept his word, not just to us but to the American people, but he’s been a champion and a fighter,” Reed said.
Reed, author of the new book, “For God and Country,” also suggested that the agendas of Democrats Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden “represents a grave, moral evil, and that is government-run health care with abortion on demand paid with your tax dollars.”
