Former NBA player Chris Dudley, who attended Yale with Brett Kavanaugh, says he never saw the Supreme Court nominee blacked out from being drunk, The Washington Post is reporting.

“I went out with him all the time,” he said. “He never blacked out. Never even close to blacked out. There was drinking, and there was alcohol. Brett drank, and I drank. Did he get inebriated sometimes? Yes. Did I? Yes. Just like every other college kid in America.”

Dudley, who played for NBA teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, was a 2010 Republican candidate for governor of Oregon.

In a separate interview with BuzzFeed News, he said: “Brett would drink, but he'd also be the guy who never missed a class. There's a reason he was top of his class."

BuzzFeed noted Kavanaugh is facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, including one from his time at Yale. Classmate Debbie Ramirez claims Kavanaugh exposed himself during one alcohol-fueled incident.
