Donald Trump has tapped a special assistant to former President George W. Bush and deputy chief of staff to former First Lady Laura Bush as his inaugural committee chief executive officer.
Sara Armstrong "is enormously prepared to oversee one of the most cherished peaceful transitions of power in the world as we rebuild America together," said inaugural committee chair Thomas Barrack Jr., The Daily Gamecock reports.
Armstrong also served as vice president of the 2016 Republican National Convention in July.
She is a graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where she obtained bachelors and masters degrees in marketing.
