Reports members of President Donald Trump's campaign communicated with Russian officials during the election "is becoming a pain in the neck for the president," according to Fox News' Judge Andrew Napolitano.
"Was there a connection between the Russian government and the Trump-Pence campaign and if so, what was the nature of that connection and who was involved in it, who knew about it?" Napolitano asked on "Fox & Friends."
The most recent report, from The Washington Post, claimed Sessions spoke with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak twice in the past year, and that he omitted these conversations during his Senate confirmation hearing.
Napolitano noted calls for a special prosecutor from outside the Justice Department will rise.
"Guess who under the statute decides if we need a special prosecutor and appoints that person: Jeff Sessions, the attorney general."
Sessions denied the report, and the White House denounced it as an “attack against the Trump Administration by partisan Democrats,” in a statement this morning, according to Fox News.
Trump told reporters Thursday he has "total" confidence in Sessions, saying he "wasn’t aware" he spoke with Kislyak, but say Sessions "probably" told the Senate the truth, according to Politico.
