Fox News is projecting Ohio Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown will keep his Senate seat, reporting that with 29 percent of the vote in, Brown was leading Republican challenger Rep. Jim Renacci by 58.7 percent to 41 percent.

Brown, a former U.S. Representative and Ohio Secretary of State, was first elected to the Senate in 2006.

NBC News has also projected Brown for the win. Most polls had put Brown ahead of Renacci by at least 10 points, according to Real Clear Politics.
