Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., said Sunday the impeachment case against President Donald Trump is so far merely “circumstantial.”
In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Braun, however, praised the presentation by the House.
“The case so far, and I’ll give [Democrats] credit, they put together a broad comprehensive case,” he said. “But it was it was circumstantial in nature.”
Braun said he believes Trump has been “instructed” by the impeachment process.
“This ought to be instructive to anyone here,” he said, adding, . pushing the envelope that doesn’t feel right or may not be right — be careful.”
“Hopefully it’ll be instructive” to the president, he said. “I think he’ll put two and two together in this. He’s been taken to the carpet. I think he’ll be instructed by what has occurred here.”
