Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., is falling out of favor with his constituents amid his ongoing feud with President Donald Trump, The Washington Post reports.

Corker, who announced recently that he will retire at the end of his term, saw his approval rating drop seven points in the latest poll from Middle Tennessee State University. Among Republicans, his position is even lower.

Here are the results:

  • 52 percent approved of Corker in February, 27 percent disapproved.
  • 45 approve of Corker in October, 41 percent disapprove.
  • 61 percent of GOP approved in February, 21 percent disapproved.
  • 37 percent of GOP approve in October; 49 percent disapprove.

Trump's disapproval rating in the state has also increased, though his approval rating has remained the same.

  • 32 percent disapproved in February.
  • 40 percent disapprove today.
  • 50 percent approve both in February and today.

"Essentially, Corker's negatives have increased markedly, but he has ended up only a bit behind Trump in terms of approval, and possibly on par with him," Dr. Ken Blake, Middle Tennessee State University poll director, said in a statement. "Meanwhile, some undecideds have switched to disapproval of President Trump, but Trump's base is sticking with him and keeping his approval rate relatively high in the state overall."

The Post notes that Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., John McCain, R-Ariz., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., all saw a drop in polls after clashes with Trump.
