The Republican National Committee said Thursday that former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s possible entry into the 2020 White House race “underscores the weak Democrat field.”
In a “cheat sheet” on the billionaire’s past political history, RNC spokesman Steve Guest noted Bloomberg “embodies all that progressives hate about Wall Street." Guest also said Bloomberg tried to turn the Big Apple into a “nanny state,” and “started a radical anti2nd amendment group,”
But there’s a more important political point, Guest said.
“The fact that Michael Bloomberg feels the need to run for president underscores the weak Democrat field and shows that Democrats know they can’t compete with President [Donald] Trump in 2020,” he insisted.
