Business With Ties to Biden's Brother Reportedly Being Investigated

Federal authorities reportedly are conducting a criminal investigation into a healthcare business with ties to Joe Biden’s younger brother.

Politico reported that authorities in the Western District of Pennsylvania have inquired about James Biden's role in the business, according to a person with knowledge of the ongoing investigation.

Americore Health hospital in Ellwood City, Pa., was raided earlier this year by federal authorities, who seized boxes of documents. The report said there was no indication the raid had anything to do with actions related to James Biden, who hasn't been accused of criminal wrongdoing.

The New York Post reported Americore was raided after allegations of gross financial mismanagement and complaints it was not operating "in a manner that is consistent with public safety and welfare."

The report concerning James Biden came amid news federal investigators were looking into the business dealings of Joe Biden's son Hunter.
