Former Vice President Joe Biden continued to insist Saturday that he's the strongest Democrat to square off against President Donald Trump in this year's general election, even with Sen. Bernie Sanders expected to take his third state in a row in Nevada.
"People want to know who’s the most likely to beat Donald Trump," Bidens said, according to The New York Times. "Even the few polls that show Bernie tied with me or ahead of me, show me being the one that is most likely to be able to beat Trump.”
Biden also said it's important to keep the Democrats' majority and to take back the Republican-controlled Senate. Both he and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg have received key endorsements from Democrats worried that Sanders could cause problems if he wins the party's presidential nomination.
“We’re raising some good money,” Biden said. “We’ve raised over a million bucks after the debate.”
