Liberal independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont says Hillary Clinton's nomination as the Democratic presidential candidate is not a foregone conclusion.
Appearing Monday on MSNBC's
"The Ed Show," Sanders
discussed his own possible plans to seek the office.
"What I say as somebody who has known Hillary Clinton for years — I like her, I respect her. But I think this country, at every level, needs serious debate, not 30-second sound bites, not negative attack ads," Sanders said.
"There's so much to be discussed," he added, "and we're not, in this country, about anointing anybody for a nomination."
