Media commentator Bernard Goldberg says if he were moderating the GOP presidential debate he has one big question he would ask frontrunner Donald Trump: "Why do you brag so much?"
Goldberg made that declaration Wednesday on Fox News Channel's
"The O'Reilly Factor," but he noted he actually has asked Trump the question before.
Goldberg was interviewing Trump for "Real Sports" on HBO four years ago about his new golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland. Trump at the time said he was considering a presidential run.
"I think that's a very important question because most successful grown ups don't brag the way does," Goldberg told host Bill O'Reilly.
"I like him personally. I have known him for a while, and I think he likes me," Goldberg continued. "And he very politely said, 'I don't think it's bragging when you are telling the truth.'"
"Paging Dr. Krauthammer," Goldberg interjected, referring to Fox News commentator and trained psychologist Charles Krauthammer.
"I mean, what kind of answer is that?" Goldberg told O'Reilly. "He says his ratings are great, his buildings are great, his golf courses are the greatest in the world. And he doesn't think it's bragging because he is telling the truth."
Meanwhile, O'Reilly contributor Dennis Miller said he has no intention of even watching the debate because he doesn't like the rules.
"I don't like the time limit," Miller said. "The world is going to hell in a handbasket and we have a minute time limit. That's two Final Jeopardies."
