Ben Sasse Quietly Trolls Kanye West, Trump Over 'Dragon Energy' Tweet

Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., quietly poked fun at Kanye West and President Donald Trump after the musician said that the two "are both dragon energy" on Twitter Wednesday.

The senator didn't tweet, he officially took a hiatus from Twitter at the end of last year, but he did change his Twitter bio to read "we are both dragon energy," as Independent Journal Review senior editor Caleb Hull noted.

West tweeted about Trump multiple times in a row on Wednesday, while also professing his love for Trump's 2016 opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

Although Sasse took a hiatus from Twitter, he did break it for one tweet in early April, in which he shared a statement on Trump's proposed tariffs.
