Fleischer Blasts Media Coverage of Pence Walkout

Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for President George W. Bush, criticized some of the news coverage of Vice President Mike Pence's decision to leave the Indianapolis Colts-San Francisco 49ers game because of player protests during the national anthem.

Fleischer's comments came in two tweets on Monday and were reported by The Hill.

Pence walked out of the game after some of the 49ers players kneeled during them anthem on Sunday, Fox News noted.

The vice president explained his decision to leave in a tweet to followers:
