Lincoln Says She'll Win If Turnout Is High

Monday, 01 November 2010 12:38 PM EDT

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — In her last full day of campaigning, Democrat Blanche Lincoln dismissed polls that show her trailing challenger John Boozman, saying that she'll win re-election to the U.S. Senate if voter turnout is robust.

Speaking Monday to about three dozen supporters in Pine Bluff, Lincoln said that polls showing her losing to the GOP's Boozman were "commandeered" to make people angry.

Lincoln urged her supporters to encourage others to vote, saying: "when people vote, we win."

The senator plans other campaign stops in Stuttgart and Marion, while Boozman is campaigning in El Dorado, Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Texarkana, and West Memphis.
