The Twitter account for former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon was suspended on Thursday for allegedly threatening to put the head of Coronavirus Task Force expert Anthony Fauci "on pikes" during a YouTube show, according to The Hill.

Once the statement aired, the show's Twitter account @WarRoomPandemic was suspended.

Twitter wrote an email to The Hill stating that Bannon's account was suspended for violating "our policy on the glorification of violence.” The company also said it has instituted policies to police threats of violence and online abuse or harassment.

The comments were made on Thursday during Bannon's "War Room" YouTube show, while the country still waits to learn who won the presidential election between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Along with the comments about Fauci, Bannon also called for FBI Director Christopher Wray to be fired.

"Second term kicks off with firing Wray, firing Fauci, no, I actually want to go a step farther, but the president is a kind-hearted man and a good man," Bannon said on the YouTube show.

Bannon added, "I'd actually like to go back to the old times of Tudor England. I'd put their heads on pikes, right, I'd put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats, you either get with the program or you're gone."
