Hacker Group Threatens Trump Will 'Regret the Next 4 Years'

The hacking activist group Anonymous threatened President-elect Donald Trump in a series of tweets, in which the group said Trump had ties to organized crime.

This isn't the 80's any longer, information doesn't vanish, it is all out there. You are going to regret the next 4 years. @realDonaldTrump

Another tweet apparently referred to Roy Cohn, the lawyer who represented Trump in a 1973 case in which Trump and his father were charged with violating the Fair Housing Act. The Trumps settled the case and admitted no wrongdoing, according to The New York Times.

Roy Cohen and your daddy aren't here to protect you anymore @realDonaldTrump.

The group ended the series of tweets by admonishing Trump for attacking them with "bots," which damages online accounts by sending automated responses.

Oh and please tell your interns not to waste money hitting us with your Moldavian bot farm, stay frosty @realDonaldTrump.

The hacking group has issued threats to Trump before. On March 18 2016, the group called on its network of hackers to shut down his websites on April 1. "We need you to dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand," a man wearing a mask said in a YouTube video.

Business Insider reported on April 1 that their effort failed, as the groups who had planned on attacking Trump split into two factions, and Trump supporters and others turned up in chat rooms to oppose them.
