Former Democratic Rep. Parker Griffith of Alabama will shortly be tested by voters in his new incarnation as a Republican -- on the heels of Arlen Specter's ill-fated jumping of his party's ship in Pennsylvania, according to a report in rollcall.com.
Griffith’s two GOP challengers in the primary contest are Madison County Commissioner Mo Brooks and businessman and Navy veteran Les Phillip.

“I think trust is a major issue,” Brooks said on Monday. “Party-switching is a component of trust, but there’s so many different things we didn’t want to limit to one issue. ... There are a dozen different flip-flops Parker Griffith has engaged in.”
