This month, Gavin Spanierman is closing his upper East side gallery, Gavin Spanierman LTD located at 1044 Madison Avenue, and merging with the Gerald Peters Gallery at 24 East 78th Street to become its managing director.
Peters will continue to run his Santa Fe Gallery, where he specializes in Western art and is an expert on Georgia O’Keefe, Max Ernst, and Modernism. Spanierman’s focus is on the Hudson River School and American Impressionism. This pairing is sure to make a positive impact in the art market.
Warren Adelson is opening a new gallery at 730 Fifth Avenue, in New York City in the Spring, moving from 823 Park Avenue. Adelson is a leading authority on John Singer Sargent, American Impressionism and Modernism.
