Attorneys Lin Wood and Sidney Powell called for a voter boycott at their "Stop the Steal" rally Wednesday, but the only thing that needs to be stopped is the Democrat challenge to the Senate majority, according to Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., on Newsmax TV.
"We've got to have people show up," Collins told Wednesday's "Greg Kelly Reports." "If they do not show up, it's a default and a loss for this president and this country, because we cannot have [Democrat Leader Sen.] Chuck Schumer [D-N.Y.] running the United States Senate.
"And that's what would happen if people get so frustrated down here."
Republicans have secured 50 Senate seats thus far, earning at least a 50-50 split, but with the vice president casting the deciding vote in a tie, the two Georgia Senate runoffs Jan. 5 can swing the power to the Democrats if Joe Biden is declared the president by the Dec. 14 Electoral College vote.
Incumbent Sens. David Perdue, R-Ga., and Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., are facing stiff challenges from well-backed and well-funded Democrats Jon Ossoff and the Rev. Raphael Warnock.
"My hope is Republicans and conservatives in Georgia will show up en masse, and they will show that this state can actually elect our conservatives — and we send back Warnock and we send back Ossoff and not have them represent us in the United States Senate," Collins told host Greg Kelly.
