Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt is advising Republicans to treat with caution newcomer David Jolly's big congressional win over a popular Democratic candidate in Florida.
"An enormous amount of money was spent. It's an amount of money that will not be spent in all the other House races," Hurt told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"Republicans are still going to have to run smart campaigns, they can't just pan Obamacare and expect that to take care of all of it.
"Given the fact the race was somewhat distorted by money, Republicans are obviously going to have to run very, very, very good races if they want to widen their lead in the House," Hurt said Wednesday.
