Rep. Tiffany to Newsmax: Possible DOJ, Ga. Prosecutors Collusion

By    |   Tuesday, 30 January 2024 05:00 PM EST

Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., expressed concerns about potential coordination between the Department of Justice, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and consultant Nathan Wade during an interview on Newsmax.

Tiffany stated on "American Agenda," "It sure doesn't look right, and that's another thing that we should get to the bottom of, is there coordination that's going on with Washington, D.C., in particular is there coordination going on with the Department of Justice or the White House? We need to get to the bottom of that."

He continued: "That's why, you know, maybe it's time for the Judiciary Committee. We've been in New York City when DA Alvin Brag was doing his stuff up there in New York City. We've been to Chicago. Maybe it's time for the Judiciary Committee to go back on the road and go to Atlanta and find answers."

In response to questions about the hiring of Nathan Wade and alleged meetings with White House officials, Tiffany emphasized the lack of information available to the public.

He stated: "It's clear we and the American public don't know enough about Fani Willis and Nathan Wade and what has been going on with them. But we in the Judiciary Committee are going to try to get to the bottom of it."

"You know, if you think about it, I believe the Fulton County District Attorney's Office has gotten nearly $15 million from the federal government. Nathan Wade has been paid $650,000 as this special consultant. I think it's time the American people get answers. What are they really doing?" he said.

When asked about potential sanctions or censures for Willis and Wade if found guilty, Tiffany responded: "Yeah, you know, that's a very good question. I think it would go back to Fani Willis, and OK, why did you hire this guy? And how are we going to get justice for the American people if there are illegalities that have been going on?"

He indicated the committee sent a letter to the Georgia attorney general, urging scrutiny of federal funds allocated to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.

Tiffany said: "That's why we sent a letter to the attorney general in the state of Georgia, and we're really hoping the attorney general follows through on this now and see if this money is being spent appropriately by the Fulton County District Attorney's office. I mean, when you're taking lavish trips like has been documented so far. I mean, who knows what else they spent the money on?

"I think we need a full accounting first. And then get accountability from them," he added.
