Joe Biden's decision not to enter the 2016 presidential race will likely increase the chance of a Republican reclaiming the White House, Sen. Steve Daines tells

"Biden stepping out of the race frankly helps Republican chances. Hillary Clinton is a flawed candidate. The American people know the Clintons, they know Hillary Clinton.
'She is well-defined, she's upside down in her approval ratings — more Americans disapprove than approve of her. She's going to have real trouble getting across the finish line. This news that Joe Biden is not running is good news for our prospects to win the White House in 2016."
Biden, in a cliffhanger announcement on Wednesday, said he had decided not to throw his hat in the ring, but would work diligently to help his party elect the next president.
Daines said the GOP can point to the last eight years of President Barack Obama's reign as a key reason why Republican leadership is needed.
"Remember last election's cycle in 2014? President Obama said his policies were on the ballots. Well, we saw how that worked out for the president in terms of a resounding repudiation of this president and his policies," Daines said.
"I'm very much looking forward to contrasting President Obama's past with our future vision for America and for Republicans."
