Roger Simon on Ferguson: 'Maybe Al Sharpton's a Racist'

Tuesday, 25 November 2014 06:25 PM EST

The rioting and looting in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson was "manufactured" and had nothing to do with racial injustice, says Roger Simon, CEO of the conservative news and commentary website PJ Media.

"The whole thing is a media event. That's what it is. It's sad," Simon said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"I was a civil-rights worker in the '60s – dates me, but I'm really proud of it. But to think of where it's all come to . . . There aren't a lot of racists around. The whole thing is manufactured. Maybe Al Sharpton's a racist."
