The landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in 1973 will not be overturned by the next Supreme Court "or any of the Supreme Courts in the future," political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV on Monday.
In remarks on "Newsmax Now," the son of the late President Ronald Reagan said no matter what leanings a potential justice may appear to have could change when they are confirmed to the nation's high court.
"It's right that [the Roe v. Wade] question [is one] the president should not be asking someone who's going to be put on the bench — how they're going to vote on any issue that may come before" the court, he said. "I hope he doesn't do that."
"This is always going to be the issue . . . that Roe v. Wade could be overturned," he added. "I will tell you Roe v. Wade is not going to be overturned by the next Supreme Court or any of the Supreme Courts in the future. That's not going to happen."

Reagan noted his father appointed conservative Justice Anthony Kennedy — whose retirement later this month has given Trump an opportunity to appoint his second Supreme Court justice — based on his record and “Kennedy became the swing vote” on the court.
"It was [President George W.] Bush who put [Chief Justice John] Roberts on the court and remember what he gave us — it’s called Obamacare. So you n’ever know what your’e gonna get."
