The White House erred in insisting there will be no American "boots on the ground" in Iraq in the battle to crush the Islamic State, says liberal commentator Rick Ungar, co-host of "Steele & Ungar" on SiriusXM.
"I don't know why we take that off the table. We made a mistake when we went into Iraq, in my opinion, in 2003 … You don't use yesterday's mistake as a reason to make another mistake in the future," Ungar told Joe Concha, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"I don't know if we need to put boots on the ground or not, I really don't. I do know you don't go into a planning situation taking anything off the table.
"I certainly appreciate [Americans are] tired of war, who isn't? That's not a good reason to not take these people on the right way, whatever the right way is. If it turns out the right way means we have to put some boots on the ground, then we have to put some boots on the ground."
