The Hawkeye State holds it caucuses in February in the first test of the presidential primary season.
Santorum will appear in the third undercard debate among Republican candidates next Wednesday at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
"Remember, I was at 1 percent four years ago on a poll that was taken today and I ended up winning the Iowa caucus and that was a month earlier," Santorum said, referring to the
Iowa poll that was released on Friday.
"So, I'm not looking at anything until we get to the finish line," he said.
