Rick Horrow: Ray Rice Won't Play in NFL This Year

Monday, 01 December 2014 06:16 PM EST

NFL teams will not rush to sign running back Ray Rice, even with his ban for punching his fianceé now lifted, because this season is too soon to try to sell people on Rice's return, sports business entrepreneur Rick Horrow told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner on Newsmax TV Monday.

The CEO of Horrow Sports Ventures also discussed efforts to reduce the incidence of head injuries among younger football players, and he argued that professional athletes should be wary in today's social media-saturated culture of using their positions to make political statements.
