President Donald Trump will be re-elected in 2020 because "he said exactly what he was going to do and he's doing it," legendary singer Pat Boone predicted to Newsmax TV on Friday.

"They don't know what to say," Boone said of the president's critics, "because the public keeps saying: 'Hey, we like our president. We think he's doing a good job.'"
He added that the Founding Fathers would have welcomed Trump into the White House.
"They did not want professional politicians running this country," he told Tucker.
"They wanted businessmen, they wanted famers, they wanted ministers and lawyers and tradesmen to serve a little while — and they go back home and let other people do it.
"Not settle in for 40 years and retire wealthy off the public dole.
"I think they would welcome him."
