A docudrama-style reality show that "explores the mind, heart and soul of fine art painters," will be broadcast at 3 p.m. ET Saturday on
Newsmax TV.
The show, "
Work of Genius," is hosted by Cindy Taylor, and follows 12 artists through an intense 12-week competition that pits their talents against one another.
They are asked to work in everything from crayons to chalk, from pencil to watercolor, from sketching to building sand castles. Think "American Idol" for fine arts fans as a new career gets forged for an emerging art-world star.
The winner from the 12 artists who compete for the title of Top Artist will receive a $100,000 prize, representation in a top gallery and a publisher for a year, as well as a new and "environmentally friendly" car.
