This coming Sunday should be the deadline for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to send the impeachment articles against President Donald Trump to the Senate, Sen. Mike Braun told “War Room” Impeachment,” which airs live on Newsmax TV.
Speaking Wednesday on “War Room,” hosted by Steve Bannon, Jason Miller and Raheem Kassam, the Indiana Republican said at that point “we can start looking to see how we can get this started and get it over with.”
Braun was speaking about a column posted a day earlier on Fox News in which he and Sen. Steve Daines criticized Pelosi for playing “partisan games” with the whole impeachment procedure, saying "In the real world, it's put up or shut up” and that there should be a mandate that forces the House to deliver the articles of impeachment within 25 days.
Braun told ‘War Room” that Pelosi was doddling, because she knew her case for impeachment was weak.
Regarding the controversy over what the rules should be for the impeachment trial in the Senate, and if there should be new witnesses, Braun said that he is “flexible to see how it proceeds once it gets to the Senate.”
