The left controls the dominant media culture, which in turn sets the tone of the political narrative, Media Research Center Managing Editor Matt Philbin said Tuesday on "America’s Forum" on
Newsmax TV.
"If you look at the war on
women so to speak and women's health, that's the new issue … that's the new term for contraception and abortion," Philbin explained. "They no longer use pro-choice or they're phasing that out. They're now using women's health. Who could be against women's health? It obfuscates what is actually at issue which is a life of a child or paying for someone else's contraceptives."

Other examples, according to Philbin, are what was once known as gay marriage, then same-sex marriage, which is now referred to as marriage equality.
"We like marriage, we like equality and they tell us the debate is then over, so it's a pure manipulation of the language to … make more palatable what they actually want," Philbin said.
