Katie Couric is squashing
reports she'll be returning to NBC's "Today" show.
CNN's Bill Weir asked Couric Wednesday whether she would ever return to morning TV.
"I don't think so. No, no, no," Couric responded. "I had a wonderful 15-year run at the 'Today' show, and I’m still in touch with them," she told Weir. "So, you know, they’ll always have a special place in my heart."

The New York Post reported earlier this week that Couric is in preliminary talks to temporarily replace 'Today' co-host Savannah Guthrie while she is on maternity leave in the upcoming months.
The story hinted that if the show's ratings improve with Couric on board, the job could become more permanent.
Couric first took over as 'Today' show co-host when Deborah Norville went on maternity leave in 1991. Norville did not return, and Couric stayed with the show until 2006.
