Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is "ready to jump into" the 2020 election, Jason Miller, who served as President Donald Trump's campaign spokesman in 2016, told Newsmax TV Monday.
"She's running!" Miller exclaimed while appearing on Newsmax TV's "Spicer & Co.," after host Sean Spicer asked why the Democrats' 2016 nominee continues to comment on the election.
"It seems like she can't get over the loss," Spicer said.
Miller responded that Clinton has come out with a podcast, has made several television appearances, and now has a documentary about herself on Hulu. And even if she doesn't want to run for president, she'd be willing to be the running mate for either Joe Biden or Sen. Bernie Sanders.
"I think so, absolutely," Miller said when Spicer asked him if Clinton would want to be a vice-presidential nominee. "Hillary Clinton wants to be back the White House."
However, Democratic strategist Jessica DeLoach, also appearing on the program, disagreed that Clinton wants to run for president again. However, when asked if she thinks Clinton would want to be a candidate's running mate, she responded that she wanted to "say yes."
"Why would you say no," she said. "She doesn't have a good reason to say no."
Meanwhile, with Tuesday's primary elections approaching, DeLoach said it's getting harder for Sanders to get past Biden, and Miller said he does not think Sanders has done "anything to change the trajectory" and win the race.
"He seems to have run out of gas," said Miller, noting that the delegate spread is getting too large between Biden and Sanders for the senator to have a chance.
