Joe Lestingi: Ferguson's Leaders Need to Quell Violence

By    |   Tuesday, 19 August 2014 11:55 AM EDT

The situation in Ferguson, Mo., has worsened, and community leaders need to get  residents under control, political strategist Joe Lestingi told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

He was joined by Scottie Nell Hughes of the Tea Party News Network to discuss the violence in the aftermath of the Aug. 9 shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer.

"The police weren't right in shooting an unarmed man, and the rioters certainly aren't right by continuing to have violent protests, and the police's response is equally dangerous," Lestingi told "America's Forum."
