Legal Scholar: Holder 'Justifying' Violence in Ferguson

By    |   Thursday, 21 August 2014 11:19 AM EDT

Attorney General Eric Holder in essence condoned the violence in Ferguson, Missouri, as a way to calm the rioters and looters following the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer, Heritage Foundation Senior Legal Fellow Hans von Spakovsky said Thursday on Newsmax TV's “America’s Forum.”

"It's not a good thing to have the attorney general there giving a speech in which he says that he understands the frustrations of blacks and others because he believes they are targeted by law enforcement," von Spakovsky said. "That's basically justifying the violence and the protests that have been happening."
