Judge Brett Kavanaugh likely will be confirmed to the Supreme Court, but his response to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegations at last Thursday's hearing lacked the prerequisite "calm decorum," according to Democrat strategist Rob Taub on Newsmax TV.
"If I was up for a particular job like Judge Kavanaugh, I would have answered the questions with a little bit more calm decorum – like Hillary Clinton did when she was interviewed and interrogated by the Senate for about 11 hours," Taub told Monday's "America Talks Live." "I think the whole process could have been handled better, and I am not pleased with Sen. [Dianne] Feinstein [D-Calif.]."

Regardless of Kavanaugh's passionate defense against serious allegations of sexual misconduct and attacks of his high school and collegiate drinking habits, Taub did admit he is convinced Kavanaugh will ultimately be confirmed by the Senate, which is held by a narrow Republican majority 51-49.
"[An investigation into Ford's accusation] should have been started immediately – I agree with you there," Taub told host Miranda Khan, John Cardillo, and Gina Loudon, who denounced Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., sitting on the Ford allegations until the 11th hour. "This whole thing has been mishandled, and we're entering a new fertile territory of starting to bring things up from 35 years ago. . . . It breaks precedent."
