Bill O'Reilly says special counsel Robert Mueller's federal investigation into Russia's interference with the 2016 presidential election, and whether the Trump campaign had any part in it, is zeroing in on whether there have been have attempts to thwart his probe.
"In my investigation of the Robert Mueller investigation … we found out that Mueller and his people were trying to get obstruction of an investigation," O'Reilly revealed Thursday to John Bachman on Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now."

"Not obstruction of justice. Obstruction of an investigation of a federal investigation. That was where they were going with Donald Trump because he fired [former FBI Director James] Comey."
"But now we know Comey's second-in-command with the Hillary Clinton email stuff, Peter Strozk, was actively rooting for Hillary Clinton to defeat Donald Trump. The quote in one of his emails was 'I hope she wins 100 million votes to zero.' That wipes out any credibility the FBI has in either investigation."
Reilly added that with Strozk's emails recently made public, "Trump has a very valid excuse for removing Comey."
But will Trump now attempt to fire Mueller? The answer is no, according to O'Reilly.
"I don't believe he's going to remove Mueller unless something is really shown where Mueller himself was doing something untoward and I don't believe that's going to happen," O'Reilly said.
