University of Maryland business professor Peter Morici and Forbes magazine writer Rick Ungar are sparring over President Barack Obama's ongoing tweaking of the Affordable Care Act without the approval of Congress.
"It's lawless . . . What the Republicans need to do is they need somebody like Karl Rove with Crossroads America . . . [to] take the administration to court about not enforcing the Affordable Care Act and compel him to basically enforce its provisions," Morici told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"[It would] be terribly embarrassing to the president if he lost . . . But you have to get somebody with standing, and that would be the trick."

Ungar isn't convinced.
"I can understand there are people . . . who are annoyed that the president's making some of the changes that appear to be necessary as we go along, but if you want to challenge this legally, you're not going to like the result," he said.
"[The Treasury Department] allows this under the IRS. This was deemed a tax, you may recall. And because of that, if no other reason, the law does say that the president is able to make these moves.
"I'm not particularly thrilled with what the president did . . . but you guys are hurting yourself when you go off on these tangents that sound really extreme."
