Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says he's planning to integrate Facebook Messenger with WhatsApp and Instagram, The New York Times reported Friday.
The plan is in early stages, but is expected to be completed by early next year.
The Times, citing four unnamed people "involved in the effort," reporst that thousands of Facebook employees are working on the project to reconfigure the three apps to use a single infrastructure.While sharing a unified internal architecture, the apps will remain as standalones, the report says.
