President Donald Trump dismissed reports of chaos in his White House, telling a news conference "I like conflict."
"It's tough," the president said at a joint session with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven. "I like conflict.
"I like having two people with different points of view.
"I like watching it; I like seeing it — and I think it is the best way to go," he added. "I like different points of view.
"But the White House has a tremendous energy, and we have tremendous talent."
News reports have circulated alleging "chaos" within the Trump administration, particularly following Wednesday's announced departure of White House Communications Director Hope Hicks.
Hicks, 29, has been with Trump since shortly after he declared his candidacy in 2015 and has remained a longtime confidant during his presidency.
The Washington Post quoted unnamed sources Saturday as saying the tenor in the White House is "pure madness" — in part because of the Russia investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Trump earlier Tuesday beat back the reports on Twitter and did so again during the session with Sweden's Löfven.
"The White House has tremendous energy," he said. "Tremendous spirit.
"It is a great place to be working.
"Everybody wants to be there," Trump added. "They love this White House because we have energy like rarely before."
