Walmart Inc. is in preliminary talks to buy insurer Humana Inc., The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter, a deal that would mark a shift for the giant retailer and add to a wave of deals in healthcare services.
Terms of the discussions were not clear, and there is no guarantee the companies will strike a deal, the Journal reported. Humana has a market value of about $37 billion.
