Vice President Mike Pence will soon hit the campaign trail to support Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections, Politico reports.
Pence, the former governor of Indiana, will make more than a dozen stops from February through April after House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., asked President Donald Trump's administration for help before the elections during a meeting at Camp David earlier this month.
He will begin in Pennsylvania, where he's expected to campaign on behalf of special election candidate Rick Saccone. Trump himself held an official event in Pennsylvania last week, which Saccone attended.
The vice president will then travel to Texas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa to support GOP candidates, and will headline various fundraisers for the National Republican Congressional Committee over the next three months, including hosting events for the House branch in Dallas, Cleveland, Detroit, and Naples, Florida.
Next week, Pence will host a fundraiser in D.C. for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Trump is expected to make another visit to southwestern Pennsylvania sometime before the special election on March 13.
