Irate tweeters slammed Vanity Fair on Wednesday after the magazine posted a video of staffers suggesting New Year's resolutions for Hillary Clinton, from writing a sequel to her book — calling it "What the Hell Happened" — to knitting to taking "more photos in the woods" to retiring from politics.

The backlash was swift and strong.

Clinton spent most of this year promoting her memoir of the 2016 campaign, "What Happened," and has repeatedly said she was not interested in seeking the White House in 2020.

Vanity Fair later apologized but did not delete the video.

"It was an attempt at humor and we regret that it missed the mark," Beth Kseniak, a Vanity Fair spokeswoman, told various news outlets.
